What I Have Learned From Contents Analysis

Hello! This post is just to summarize the codes and conventions I have noticed throughout all of the contents pages I have looked at:


  • Either 1 main image or a few smaller ones
  • Date/Issue Number
  • Puns/Playful headlines
  • 3 colour scheme, keeping in style with rest of the magazine
  • Coloured background for headlines
  • Big font for page numbers and headlines
  • Includes a subscribe section/image of previous magazine
  • At least 1 image comes out of the frame for a 3D effect
  • Neat and tidy with line separations for separate sections of the magazine
These are the main things that I have noticed occur throughout all of the contents I have reviewed, and I will therefore have to include them in my magazine.
